Shameer Abubacker is the CFO of the Saudi Venture Capital Investment Company, a Sharia-compliant investment firm authorized by the Capital Market Authority of KSA. His duties include championing the transformation of the business and financial landscape by crafting strategies that align with the company's goals. He advises the CEO and the Board of Directors on financial strategies, identifies potential fiscal risks, and plays a pivotal role in leading the finance department, establishing internal controls, developing systems, and formulating policies and procedures. Additionally, he oversees internal audit activities from inception to the final report, covering strategic, operational, compliance, and financial audits that focus on the company's primary business risks and significant initiatives.

Previously, he was the Tax and Accounting Manager at Branch POSCO E&C Company, a subsidiary of POSCO Holding, registered in South Korea, and held membership with SOCPA (Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants). Shameer Abubacker has over a decade of experience in tax and accounting within KSA, starting at Mizat Al Khaleej Holding Company as Chief Accountant, then progressing to Accounting Manager and department head.

Shameer Abubacker holds a postgraduate degree in commerce from Calicut University, one of India's most esteemed universities, and an MBA from the National Institute of Business Management (NIBM) Global, specializing in portfolio and corporate finance management. He is currently pursuing ACCA qualifications from the global professional accounting body that offers the Chartered Certified Accountant certification. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a specialization in income tax, travel, and tourism from the University of Calicut, India, and has successfully completed the CME-1 examination by CMA Saudi Arabia.
